LightPath Technologies Inc. (Albuquerque, NM) announced that its wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) subsidiary, LightChip Inc. (Salem, NH), has received $5.25 million in funding commitments from AT&T Ventures (Bethesda, MD), the venture capital affiliate of AT&T (Morristown, NJ). LightPath will also invest $1.25 million in LightChip, whose WDM technology is being designed to leverage the light-guiding and wavelength-separating capabilities of LightPath`s gradium optics products.
