Adtran’s Stanton to assume CEO role at ADVA Optical Networking SE

Stanton will replace Christoph Glingener, who will return to his duties as CTO of ADVA and Adtran.

ADVA Optical Networking SE (ISIN: DE0005103006, FSE: ADV) has revealed that Tom Stanton, CEO of Adtran Holdings, Inc, will also become CEO of ADVA effective July 1, 2023. Adtran purchased ADVA last year (see “ADTRAN, ADVA to merge for metro to access play”).

Stanton will replace Christoph Glingener, who will return to his duties as CTO of ADVA and Adtran. Glingener stepped into the ADVA CEO role last July in the run up to the acquisition’s close (see “ADVA CEO Protiva to step aside as acquisition by ADTRAN enters home stretch”) He assumed the Adtran CTO role after the merger’s completion.

Stanton become CEO of Adtran Inc. in 2005 and chairman of the board in 2007. He joined the company in 1995 as vice president of marketing for the carrier networks division, then subsequently held several senior management positions, including senior vice president and general manager of the carrier networks division. Before joining Adtran, he worked as vice president of marketing and engineering at Transcrypt International and held senior management positions with E. F. Johnson Company.
