C&W Networks, C&W Business to rebrand as Liberty Networks

May 15, 2023
Liberty Networks operates in approximately 40 countries via nearly 50,000 km of submarine cable and 17,000 km of terrestrial networks.

Liberty Latin America says its C&W Networks and C&W Business operations will combine under the Liberty Networks brand. The combined entities will continue to provide carriers, hyperscalers, and enterprise customers in Latin America and the Caribbean with fiber-optic network services.

Liberty Networks operates in approximately 40 countries via nearly 50,000 km of submarine cable and 17,000 km of terrestrial networks. The company expects to invest at least $250 million to expand this footprint, as well as increase capacity and security, over the next five years.

Ray Collins, Liberty Latin America’s senior vice president of infrastructure and corporate strategy, will lead the united operations. “Today is an important moment for our employees and our customers. We are unveiling our new brand to reflect who we are, a customer-focused connectivity provider that enables growth across the region,” Collins stated. “The new brand is another step in our journey as we continually build momentum for this business by investing in our infrastructure and enterprise solutions to meet our customers' digital and connectivity needs, small and large. We are very excited about the opportunities ahead and see exponential demand for capacity and solutions across this fast-growing region.”
