AXON Networks acquires DZS’s service assurance and Wi-Fi management software portfolio
On October 16, AXON Networks announced that it has acquired DZS’s service assurance and Wi-Fi management software portfolio in an all-cash, $34 million transaction.
AXON will acquire the assets and IP patents for CloudCheck, Expresse, and TruSpeed, integrating the products into its Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) portfolio. It will also acquire a development team and marquee customers.
Martin Manniche, founder and CEO of AXON Networks, said the transaction enables the company to offer new solutions while expanding its capabilities and global footprint.
“The transfer of DZS’s service assurance and Wi-Fi management software to the AXON portfolio and the addition of new engineers from the acquisition creates a combined development team that will be one of the largest and strongest of its kind,” said Manniche in a press release.
DZS president and CEO Charlie Vogt said the partnership will allow the company to focus on the development of its broadband networking, connectivity, and cloud edge portfolio.
“We have been working with AXON for the past two years on a variety of technology advancements spanning SDN and network edge-to-home broadband solutions,” said Vogt in the same press release. “We acquired Expresse and CloudCheck from ASSIA in 2022 to accelerate the market adoption for our networking and connectivity products through cross-selling and sales synergies, which we have achieved.”
