XKL confirms BABA compliance

Sept. 19, 2024
The company says its recently enhanced DWDM product line is manageable and reliable.

On September 17, optical networking solutions provider XKL confirmed its compliance with the Build America Buy America (BABA) program, which it says aligns with its goal of providing BEAD-funded service providers with the best possible DWDM solution.

Mike Fahy, XKL’s director of engineering, said the company’s mission to make dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology more accessible coincides with BEAD’s connectivity goals.

“Our products are designed to be highly manageable and reliable,” said Fahy in a press release. “This ensures that our partners can deliver critical connectivity to underserved communities without introducing unnecessary complexity into their networks at layer 1.

Earlier this year, XKL announced that its DarkStar DWDM product line has been enhanced with high-power amplification, monitoring, and equalization capabilities.
