On August 1, 46 Labs LLC announced that it has acquired the worldwide wholesale voice service provider Impact Telecom from Lingo Communications. This is 46 Labs’ second carrier network acquisition in three months, following the acquisition of HyperCube Networks in May.
46 Labs reports that the acquisition is part of an effort to modernize the company’s legacy infrastructure, and the nationwide Feature Group D (FGD) network will allow the company to enhance its global offerings.
46 Labs CEO Trevor Francis said he is thrilled with the acquisition and what it means for the company’s customers.
“This acquisition is the next piece of our company’s evolution focused on offering premium connectivity solutions on a global scale,” said Francis in a press release. “With Impact Telecom’s network, we can deliver better value and service than ever before.”
Lingo CEO Ananth Veluppillai said in the same press release, “46 Labs is reshaping the telecom industry. We’re excited for Impact to play a role in these innovations that are modernizing a legacy industry and readying it for the future.”
