SCTE will be hosting TechExpo24 in Atlanta, Georgia, September 24-26, 2024, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The conference will officially kick off Tuesday morning, with SCTE President & CEO Maria Popo on the main stage.
Popo said in a press release, “TechExpo will deliver an unparalleled opportunity to engage with industry CEOs, CTOs, and decision-makers and to see emerging technologies and applications that will transform the industry.”
SCTE reports that AI is a frequent topic of discussion, panels, and conference agenda, and a new AI zone will debut. There will also be a new nontraditional floor plan that organizers say maximizes visibility and opportunity.
Joining Popo onstage Tuesday will be the other opening headliners:
- Balan Nair, president and CEO, Liberty Latin America
- Phil McKinney, president and CEO, CableLabs
- Julie Laulis, chair of the board, president and CEO, Cable One
- Ken Johnson, COO, Cable One
- Mark Greatrex, president, Cox Communications
- Nicole Scoble-Williams, partner and global future of work leader, Deloitte
Some select sessions from Tuesday also include

- Architecting the Cloud: Orchestrating B2B, Multi-Cloud, and Applications

Wednesday will feature a CTO Town hall on the main stage with Charlie Herrin, president of the technology, product and experience at Comcast, Len Barlik, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Cox Communications, and Justin Colwell, executive vice president of connectivity technology at Charter Communications.
Wednesday will also feature a Chief Strategy Officer panel with more headliners to be announced. Other select sessions from Wednesday include:
- Practical Strategies for Deploying FTTH
- New Approaches to Network Design
- Connectivity for the Enterprise Customer
Tuesday and Wednesday will also feature Expo Happy Hours on the exhibition floor from 5-6 p.m., where complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks will be served. SCTE organizers report that the floor is currently more than 80% occupied, with 235 companies confirmed.
The conference will wrap up Thursday with SCTE International Cable-Tec Games and awards. Some select sessions on Thursday include:

- Operationalizing and Automating PON
- Optimizing DOCSIS Capacity
