DataMesh to enhance its industrial metaverse platform with digital twin and XR technology

June 20, 2024
The development is being driven by the closure of a new funding round.

On June 14, DataMesh announced the successful closure of a new funding round that will expedite research and development efforts and market expansion of the company’s Industrial Metaverse platform, FactVerse. DataMesh was joined in the funding round by the corporate venture capital funds of both KDDI (KDDI Open Innovation Fund 3) and Singtel (Singtel Innov8).

Enhancements to the FactVerse platform will include the application of digital twin, extended reality (XR), and AI technologies. The platform, says DataMesh, gives enterprises the tools to digitize factory management, improve production processes and operational efficiency, and facilitate remote collaboration, training, and maintenance.

DataMesh founder and CEO Jie Li said in a press release, “We are thrilled to have investors like KDDI joining us, and we appreciate the continuous support from Singtel Innov8. Their extensive industry expertise and resources will significantly bolster DataMesh’s growth. Together, we look forward to working closely to drive the application and adoption of the Industrial Metaverse platform, empowering industrial enterprises globally to accelerate digital transformation.”
