Neutral Tandem and Tinet have announced that the combined network services providers will operate under the name Inteliquent (NASDAQ: IQNT).
While the rebranding has led to a change in ticker symbol to IQNT, the company’s common stock CUSIP number has remained the same.
Neutral Tandem acquired Tinet in the Fall of 2010. The rebranding reflects the fact that Neutral Tandem has since become “a full-scale network solutions provider,” the company asserts. Using its global MPLS network, Inteliquent now offers voice, IP transit, Ethernet, and hosted services to major carriers, service providers, and content management firms based in over 80 countries and six continents.
“Our new brand is an important step in the evolution of our company and signifies a commitment to both our customers and our investors to deliver on our strategic vision,” states Edward Evans, CEO of Inteliquent. “The name, ’Inteliquent’ scales with our expanded product set, and aligns well with our positioning as a global multi-services company that provides intelligent solutions to complex problems in the industry.”
“The rebranding comes at a time when our customers’ network needs are growing more complicated. To address this, we are providing intelligent solutions to solve these challenges -– whether in voice, IP transit, Ethernet or hosted services,” continues Surendra Saboo, president and COO. “At Inteliquent, we are building upon the breadth and depth of our highly interconnected network, and developing solutions to solve tomorrow’s interoperability issues.”
