Physical Optics Corporation (POC) has appointed Burt Walker president and CEO of Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI), a recent spin-off of POC's successful fiber optic communications products group. BCI focuses on designing, developing and producing fiber optic communications products for enterprise and network service providers.
BCI is a privately held, California-based corporation, occupying a 12,000-sq.-foot facility in Torrance, California. BCI is the fourth technology company created by POC in order to fully focus on commercial product offerings. BCI manufactures and markets fiber optic communication products for network data transmission, multimedia communications, distance learning, teleconferencing, and digital TV broadcast network data transmission.
