Apr. 25, 2001--Light Management Group Inc., a developer of new applications in optical and light technologies, announced it has signed a Letter of Intent with FibreWired Burlington Hydro Communications to provide LMG's acousto-optic switches.

Light Management Group Inc., (OTC:LMGR), a developer of new applications in optical and light technologies, announced it has signed a Letter of Intent with FibreWired Burlington Hydro Communications to provide LMG's acousto-optic switches for assessment in connection with the public utility and communications company.

Light Management Group's technology employs sound waves to manipulate light waves, thus yielding several distinct advantages over other all-optical technologies. LMG's acousto-optic switch operates at a speed of less than 5 microseconds, representing a 1,000-fold advantage over current Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology. LMG's switch, which can transform optical signals from one input channel to over 1,000 output channels, contains no moving parts and has performed over one trillion cycles entirely free of maintenance.

Light Management Group's engineers and scientists will collaborate with FibreWired Burlington Hydro Communications engineers to customize LMG's switch to specifications outlined by FibreWired Burlington Hydro Communications.
