NEC and WaveSplitter announce joint sales and marketing initiative

December 18, 2001�NEC Corporation�s newly formed subsidiary NEC FiberOptech, Inc. (Cupertino, CA) and WaveSplitter Technologies, Inc. (Fremont, CA) announced a joint sales and marketing initiative for active fiber-optic components and modules.

December 18, 2001�NEC Corporation�s newly formed subsidiary NEC FiberOptech, Inc. (Cupertino, CA) and WaveSplitter Technologies, Inc. (Fremont, CA) announced a joint sales and marketing initiative for active fiber-optic components and modules.

Under the agreement, WaveSplitter will market and sell NEC�s product portfolio, including optical transponders, optical transmitters/receivers, and passive optical network (PON) transceivers in the US and Canada.

NEC FiberOptec will working collaboratively with WaveSplitter, providing engineering support to the North American market.
