Enterprise Optical Networking aggregates data and storage networking protocols over fiber optic networks that span campus, metropolitan, and inter-city geographies and features Nortel Networks industry leading OPTera Metro 5200. As part of this initiative, GiantLoop and Nortel Networks are co-sponsoring a five-city seminar series, entitled "business at light speed" that highlights the importance of managed optical services for enterprises.
On January 22, GiantLoop and Nortel will begin a five-city road show titled "Business At Light Speed," designed to educate Global 250 senior IT managers on the business and technical benefits of managed fiber optic networks. The seminars will focus on eBusiness initiatives and Enterprise Optical Networking services and equipment. Several presentations will highlight Optical Storage Networking (OSN), one of the most pressing optical networking initiatives that Global 250 companies face.
