Electro Rent adds new fiber optic test equipment to rental equipment pool

Mar. 13, 2001--Expanding its commitment to fiber optics and telecommunications testing, Electro Rent Corp. announced that it has added three new lines of optical test equipment to its rental and lease equipment pool.

Expanding its commitment to fiber optics and telecommunications testing, Electro Rent Corp. (NASDAQ:ELRC) announced that it has added three new lines of optical test equipment to its rental and lease equipment pool, creating a one-stop shop for all of its customers' physical layer, data link layer and network layer testing requirements.

Electro Rent has invested more than $30 million in telecommunications test equipment in just the past 12 months, including the latest products from instrument suppliers, such as Agilent, Tektronix, Rodhe & Schwarz, Advantest, Digital Lightwave, Acterna, Alcoa Fujikura, and Microtest, and now stocks telecommunications test equipment valued at more than $120 million.
