Quantum Photonics receives $27.6 million in financing

February 13, 2002--Quantum Photonics Inc., developer and producer of optoelectronic components, modules, and sub-systems for telecommunications and data-communications applications, has completed its second round of funding, totaling $27.6 million.

The Company's new investors include Boulder Ventures, Core Capital Partners, Davenport Capital Ventures, Draper Atlantic, EDB Investments, Intersouth Partners, Kinetic Ventures, and Riggs Capital Partners. Previous round investors also participated, including Optical Capital Group and The Grosvenor Funds.

William Heflin of Kinetic Ventures, Andrew Jones of Boulder Ventures, Don Rainey of Intersouth Partners, and Jonathan Silver of Core Capital Partners will join the existing Board of Directors, comprised of Stephanie Rogers of Optical Capital Group, Bruce Dunnan of The Grosvenor Funds, and Dan Petrescu and Mario Dagenais of Quantum Photonics.
