On January 29, Kinetic announced that upgrades to its technology and infrastructure increased internet speeds for more than 26,000 customers in 2024.
The upgrades are a part of Kinetic’s Project Gas Pedal, which launched in 2018. Kinetic reports that since the program began, more than 314,000 customers across 18 states have seen speed increases—an average increase of over 10 Mbps per household.
Allan Pieroni, associate director of product at Kinetic, said the company wants customers to be informed of network upgrades and speed availabilities.
“This initiative allows customers to experience free speed increases that can improve a customer’s internet experience and overall quality of life by enhancing experiences like streaming, gaming, and telehealth,” said Pieroni in a press release.
Kinetic reports that the Project Gas Pedal initiative uses advanced provisioning profiles, which optimize the configuration and allocation of network resources as new technologies are introduced to the network.
