On July 22, Comcast announced that it has activated a new internet network in the 33155 and 33143 Miami-Dade zip code areas, the result of a $7.5 million investment.
Comcast reports that thousands of homes and businesses in South Miami, Coral Terrace, and West Miami will have access to Xfinity and Comcast Business services, the latter of which has recently been enhanced through a collaboration with Starlink. The company reports available symmetrical speeds of up to 1 Gbps for residential customers and up to 100 Gbps for businesses.
Jeff Buzzelli, senior vice president of Comcast’s Florida region, said in a press release, “We’re proud to build a fiber network right in the heart of Miami-Dade County. Residents can now access symmetrical speeds. That’s ideal, especially if you work from home or have a kid who loves to play video games. We’re working every day across Florida to bring the latest technology to every corner of the state.”
