LiveOak Fiber completes 50% of its Georgia broadband expansion
LiveOak Fiber (LiveOak), a regional broadband service provider established in 2022, is making substantial headway in its fiber deployment across Glynn, Camden, and Chatham Counties. With an investment of over $100 million in Georgia, it has already laid over 1,000 miles of fiber, bolstering businesses and residents in burgeoning communities. Upon completion, the underground fiber network will cater to approximately 150,000 homes and businesses across coastal Georgia, a testament to LiveOak's commitment to expanding access. In addition to the network investments, LiveOak has also generated over 100 new jobs for local residents. Brightspeed to connect 22K Southern Virginia homes and businesses with fiber broadband service
Brightspeed has begun construction of its Brightspeed Fiber Internet network across Southern Virginia, which is underway. The company is currently working to connect almost 22,000 locations in and around Martinsville, South Boston and Galax. Residents in Martinsville are already seeing Brightspeed trucks in their neighborhoods as crews work to bring nearly 12,000 families and businesses online. Once permitting and surveying are complete, construction in the South Boston and Galax areas to bring the fiber network to another 10,000 locations will begin.

Kinetic to invest $23.2M to bring fiber internet to three Pennsylvania Counties
Kinetic has been awarded an $11.9 million grant to expand its fiber network in Clarion County, Centre County, and Erie County, Pennsylvania, by the end of 2026. This expansion will bring gigabit internet speeds to nearly 2,400 previously underserved and unserved locations. The service provider received the $11.9 million grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's $204 million Broadband Infrastructure Program. In addition, Kinetic will invest $11.3 million of private capital in the fiber-to-the-home project and cover any cost overruns. A $20 million project in Clarion County will bring gigabit internet speeds to 1,760 locations. The investment totals approximately $3 million in Center and Erie counties and will deliver gigabit internet to almost 640 locations. This network expansion is made possible through a blend of funding from the American Rescue Plan Act and private capital from Kinetic, showcasing a successful public-private partnership model.
