LiveOak Fiber completes 50% of Georgia broadband expansion project
Regional broadband service provider LiveOak Fiber announced on May 29 that it has completed 50% of its Georgia expansion, deploying fiber across Glynn, Camden, and Chatham counties and reaching what it says is a significant milestone.
LiveOak reports it has invested over $100M in Georgia and has built more than 1,000 miles of fiber. When completed, the buried fiber network will serve approximately 150,000 homes and businesses across coastal Georgia.
LiveOak Fiber CEO Jody Craft said in a press release, “The reason why each of us come to work each day is to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. This is why we’re fully dedicated to the ongoing deployment of our fiber network across planned, existing, and prospective communities: to deliver an unparalleled broadband experience.”
LiveOak also announced that its services will be expanded to Tybee Island and Savannah, Georgia’s Bacon Park neighborhood.
