The Espial STB Client is a middleware, applications and toolset solution that leverages the RDK platform, WebKit, CSS3, and HTML5 in order to optimize the development and deployment of TV services on set-top box platforms. The RDK is a standardized pre-integrated software layer that creates a common framework for powering set-top boxes.

Combined with HTML5 3D user interface effects, the Espial STB Client gives operators a platform for innovation and for integrating web-based applications to deliver what Espial calls a compelling STB user experience for IP video. This includes program guides with feature-rich graphics, navigation with advanced 3D animation effects like rubber banding, blended service interaction with social media, and personalization for each STB user in the household.Espial STB Client is hardware independent, meaning that the same software can be used across STB manufacturers. It also promotes service consistency between multiscreen devices.www.espial.comReturn to the BTR Diamond Technology Reviews Elite.
