The QYOU, a curator of Internet video for subscription TV services, announced a partnership with Dutch cable operator Ziggo to deliver 225 episodes of varied short-form sports videos over two years. The custom-designed 'Q-Sport' shows will be purpose built for the newly launched Ziggo Sport channel and will feature a curated mix of videos showcasing sports across surfing, football, BMX and motocross racing, skiing, skateboarding, basketball, parkour and more.
The deployment is The QYOU's first commercial rollout of bespoke programming for a TV operator. The Q-Sport episodes will be available in linear and catch-up format and will start airing on the new Ziggo Sport channel in January. The channel was launched in November and is available to Ziggo digital TV subscribers at no extra cost.
Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA) bought Ziggo last January.
