Evolution Digital says the eVUE-TV platform is the easiest and most cost-effective way to add IP video on demand, IP linear and network DVR to an operator's system. Through its acquisition of i-Velozity, Evolution Digital distributes thousands of hours of IP video content including new release movies, transaction and subscription video-on-demand, linear IP channels, mobile and nDVR capability.

Cable providers still offering legacy equipment and QAM video are able to transition to a new generation of IP video technology with eVUE-TV, says the company.

As a fully managed service, the eVUE-TV VOD platform provides a low-cost alternative for operators to deploy IP video content through servers installed within the operator's network, the company explains. Thus Evolution Digital provides the tools to cap operators' QAM investment and grow IP video services. eVUE-TV removes the complexity of transitioning to IP video by managing all aspects of the deployment including content ingest and encoding, DRM, SMS, content management and integration with the operator's billing system, the company says.
