VeEX RXT-4111

Sept. 26, 2017

VeEx says its RXT-4111 DWDM OTDR was the first commercially available tunable OTDR, introduced to cable operators and contractors in June 2016.

Prior to the RXT-4111, cable operators had to purchase four or five OTDR modules to access all CWDM channels. By letting the broadband cable engineer tune the OTDR to the necessary channels, it eliminated the need to swap modules for OTDR testing. The engineer can select any transmission channels within the spectral range of 1527.99 up to 1563.86 nm for 50/100/200 GHz systems without needing to swap test modules.
