NAGRA has introduced JoinIn for the connected home. An implementation of the JoinIn reference architecture will be demonstrated at IBC.JoinIn is intended to enable home gateway content streaming to multiple devices in the home, whole-home PVR functionality, content sharing on companion screens and access to both broadcast and cloud-delivered content from any device. It's also designed to address device discovery, service discovery, content delivery and content protection throughout the entire connected home domain. It integrates DLNA and uPnP, as well as HTML5 and conditional access and DRM technologies.
