In a multi-year partnership, starting in June 2016, TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) will become the primary provider of the software, user experience and cloud services for Buckeye CableSystem's video offering across its service area. Buckeye will market and deploy TiVo's multiscreen offering, including TiVo-powered DVRs and thin clients; TiVo web, mobile and tablet applications; and TiVo's new non-DVR hybrid set-top box.

The deal includes TiVo's User Interface and multi-room DVR solution, which is designed to combine traditional cable content with OTT content. The device supports TiVo's whole-home capabilities, including recorded content to client set-tops, web, mobile and tablet applications.

Buckeye will also use TiVo software and services to power a low-cost, non-DVR hybrid set-top designed to provide access to traditional linear channels, VOD and OTT/TV Everywhere content. The offering can be deployed on a stand-alone HD set-top, a client to a TiVo-Pace DVR, and as a client to cloud TV services.
