Suttle has released its MediaMAX Contractor Kits, designed to simplify the installation of home networks for single family units (SFUs) and multiple-dwelling units (MDUs).
Each kit contains components needed to build a CAT-6 or CAT-6A network and is intended to reduce the planning and logistics for the builder and allow timely arrival of the right products.
"Based on customer input from service providers, developers and contractors, Suttle has created kits with all the network components needed to configure a MediaMAX panel into a securely wired home network," said Bruce Blackwood, Suttle president and general manager. "A single part number for all components not only simplifies the process; it also takes the guesswork out of ordering the right parts. And the contractor kit can be ordered after the media panel is installed to minimize the risk of parts getting damaged or lost because they were delivered too soon."
Sev Sadura, Suttle director of product management, said: "Contractor kits provide either CAT-6 or CAT-6A performance as well as the connectivity components needed to build a securely connected network for a basic, connected or smart home."
The procurement process features a two-step shipping process utilizing only two part numbers.
"The first part number orders the panel for the rough-in stage," Sadura said. "The second part number orders the kit with network components to arrive at a later date to fit the trim or final construction schedule. All kits include our new line of designer style faceplates for a modern look that will blend into any décor."
Suttle will be showing its MediaMAX Contractor Kits at the SCTE/ISBE Cable Tec Expo in Atlanta in October.
