SAM Seamless Network and BitDefender are partnering to enable Internet service providers (ISPs) to offer enterprise-grade security on consumer devices both in and out of the home, against attacks such as phishing and malware, across all smart devices connected to the network.

The solution combines SAM's network, IoT, device security fingerprinting and PC security protection with BitDefender's end-point protection.

"We have seen a rapid increase in attacks on home devices this last year, and with 5G on the near horizon, we expect them to rise even more in 2020," said Sivan Rauscher, CEO and co-founder of SAM Seamless Network. "We are very proud to be partnered with a global company like BitDefender. Its leading expertise in anti-virus together with our IoT security solution enables ISPs to offer a complete privacy and security service to customers."

"We detected a dramatic change in the security landscape before anyone else, so we virtually invented the smart home security segment. Since then, we have kept investing in new technologies to make sure we stay well ahead of the competition." said Ciprian Istrate, Bitdefender's vice president for consumer solutions. "Our IoT Security Platform integration will help SAM Seamless Network provide best-in-class technology for home cyber threats protection."

SAM Seamless Network also announced a partnership with Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA), which plans to integrate SAM's solution in its routers to secure every connection point even outside the home. The service is expected to be available to all Liberty Global customers by 2021.

SAM's cybersecurity software is designed to protect local area networks (LANs) and their customers' connected devices directly at the source of entry at the ISP via the router. The software is installed on top of any gateway, without involving additional labor. It does not require any extra hardware or additions to be installed on the connected devices. Integrated with a solution like Bitdefender, SAM allows a single-point of management for all devices including all anti-virus software.
