Broadband services provider WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone (NYSE: WOW) on July 16 announced that Chicago, Evansville and Detroit as the latest markets to offer its IP-delivered video platform, WOW! tv+, for the provider's high-speed data (HSD) customers.
WOW!'s strategic move toward an IP-delivered video offering such as WOW! tv+ enables the company to utilize its broadband network and reinforces its focus on strengthening its HSD offerings and services to customers. "Consumers in these markets now have more choices than ever before when it comes to how they consume entertainment," adds a WOW! statement.
Already available in its Columbus, Ohio, Cleveland and mid-Michigan markets, the Android TV-based platform features complete curated live channel packages, a cloud DVR, and access to an extensive On-Demand library.
The platform also includes a voice remote with Google Assistant, Netflix integration, and access to streaming apps like Disney+ through the Google Play Store, without the need to change inputs. The system's content discovery interface provides customers with a platform that's simple to navigate and allows them to select the content and video experiences they prefer.
