Vecima Networks Inc. (British Columbia) on April 14 announced the release of a new Terrace IQ feature set, which includes HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) input with Verimatrix digital rights management (DRM).
The Vecima Terrace series of commercial video gateways allows operators to efficiently deliver bulk video services and enables a transition from legacy video delivery to more modern technologies such as Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) delivery.
The addition of support for Verimatrix’s DRM platform is a significant extension of Terrace IQ’s IP-enabled video delivery feature set. Further, in addition to already supporting Secure Reliable Transport (SRT), Terrace IQ now also supports high channel capacity, integrated transcoding, Pro:Idiom encryption, IP output, and QAM output in a modular form factor.
Where protection of high value content is paramount, Vecima notes its customers have recognized Verimatrix as an industry leader.
“Verimatrix prides itself in providing customers with the latest anti-piracy technologies to help drive their modernization strategy,” said Asaf Ashkenazi, chief operating officer and president of Verimatrix. “It’s all about bringing value to customers and filling their needs. By working directly with Vecima for many years now, that strategy continues to be enhanced.”
“We are proud of our work with Verimatrix on the new Terrace IQ feature set, as well as many other initiatives through the years,” concluded Clay McCreery, Chief Operating Officer at Vecima. “Both Vecima and Verimatrix bring passion and expertise to the industry with the mission to provide unmatched video gateway performance that can be easily deployed in large numbers with operational ease and spending efficiency.”
