Pavlov Media is expanding the build out of its fiber network within Savoy, IL. Campus Communication Group (CCG), a Pavlov Media subsidiary will be installing fiber on 101 Windsor Road, Savoy, IL, targeting area businesses.
Mark Scifres, CEO of Pavlov Media, said that the key element of this network build was getting the city’s buy-in for the project. The company operates municipal fiber networks connected to its national backbone network.
"Businesses on Windsor Road will be able to benefit from Pavlov Media's fiber Internet service," he said. "This fiber installation couldn't have been accomplished without the support of the city of Savoy.”
Besides offering fiber internet, Pavlov offers other business solutions such as Managed IT and VoIP phones. Savoy, IL is just one of many communities where Pavlov is building out fiber services for homes and businesses.
It is also making progress in other parts of Illinois and Texas.
The provider began installing fiber-based broadband in Fisher, IL. Upon completion, the Fisher project will serve approximately 900 homes and businesses.
In Texas, Pavlov entered into an agreement with three Texas communities--Media Corinth, Shady Shores, and Hickory Creek (the Lake Cities)—that will make each community a Gig City when completed. The cities used American Rescue Plan funds to enter an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) to bring fiber services to several of their government facilities. As part of the agreement, Pavlov Media has agreed to expand their fiber network to provide fiber-based services to the residents and businesses within the Lake Cities.
Pavlov will continue to conduct more organic fiber network builds and through third party interconnection partnerships.
In March, Pavlov closed an investment agreement with Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). The Fund's investment will allow Pavlov Media to continue the construction of fiber infrastructure in existing and new markets, expand the company's MDU market presence and accelerate Pavlov Media's fiber-to-the-home initiatives, which are focused on locations around its core markets.
