WaveLogic 5 Nano (WL5n) delivers Ciena's coherent optical technology in footprint-optimized 100G-400G modules that target applications where space and power are the primary considerations. WaveLogic 5 Nano modules enable cable MSOs to use 100G/200G coherent optics to significantly increase fiber capacity between outdoor cabinets or MDU buildings and hub sites or headends. Using a CFP2-DCO form factor, WL5n supports 100G interoperability as defined by the CableLabs Point-to-Point Coherent Optics standard and other standards such as OpenROADM MSA and ITU-T G.709.2 FlexO.

Judge's Comment: "A significant step forward in coherent optics."
