Emtelle acquires Ridgemount Technologies

The strategic acquisition marks Emtelle’s entrance into the defense sector.

Passive network infrastructure provider Emtelle announced on March 18 the strategic acquisition of the fiber optic cable connector manufacturer Ridgemount Technologies.

Collaboration between the companies, Emtelle reports, is aimed at providing connectivity solutions that meet an increasing demand for high-performance telecommunications infrastructure. The company reports that this will be done by prioritizing automation and capacity expansion.

Emtelle CEO Tony Rogers said in a press release, “This strategic acquisition signifies a milestone in our journey to drive technological advancements and meet the ever-expanding needs of our global customers. With additional resources, Ridgemount would enable focus on innovation, automation, and capacity expansion. Ridgemount’s expertise in fiber optic connectors complements Emtelle’s mission to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art cabling and ducted solutions. Together, we will set new industry standards and continue our shared legacy of innovation.”

Rogers added that Emtelle plans to move beyond its current focus on telecom and power and expand into the defense sector.
