Rovi (NASDAQ:ROVI) has signed an agreement with Panasonic to integrate Rovi's DivX HEVC technology into Panasonic's next-generation digital TV and Blu-ray Disc ICs. The deal is intended to help consumer electronics original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to release devices that support streaming and playback of HD 720p/1080p and UltraHD/4K HEVC content.
