San Jose, CA-based Deviser Instruments has come out of stealth mode and is making its debut at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver this week. The company's Field Network Test and Measurement portfolio includes wireless, fiber-optic, Ethernet, and cable TV field network test solutions.

At the show, the company is launching its handheld DS2800 Cable TV Analyzer, designed as an all-in-one tool for installing, verifying and maintaining cable networks. It's marketed in the United States and Canada through Electroline Equipment.

The DS2800 includes a DOCSIS 3.1 modem and a spectrum analyzer designed to cover up to 210 MHz upstream. Persistence analysis facilitates in-service detection of transient noise and impairments beneath the upstream signal. Error Vector Spectrum (EVS) analysis is designed to detect and identify interference from LTE transmissions. MPEG Transport Stream analysis in compliance with ESTI TR101 290 measurement techniques is available for continuous or periodic monitoring of MPEG transport streams in an operational environment.
