The ProView 7100 is a single-rack, multiformat, integrated receiver-decoder (IRD) transcoder and MPEG stream processor. With support for the HEVC standard, it is part of Harmonic's end-to-end HEVC-based video transmission solutions. With the ProView 7100, operators can decode HEVC streams up to 1080p60 resolution. It also offers broadcast-quality SD/HD MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC 4:2:0/4:2:2 10-bit decoding and video transcoding.

The multiformat decoder and descrambler is capable of descrambling up to four full MultiProgram Transport Streams (MPTS). This capability will help to enable a cable operator to migrate to an all-IP headend solution and support value-added services, Harmonic says.
