Aurora #1: 2010 Optical Leader

It’s no secret that a big hurdle facing Cable Operators is Overcoming the DOCSIS 3.0 upstream challenge, especially when it comes to delivering high-speed data services to small and mid-sized business customers..

According to Aurora Networks, Effective DOCSIS 3.0 implementation requires channel-bonding in the upstream, together with 64-QAM modulation, resulting in significantly higher reverse link performance requirements. Many deployed reverse analog links will not be able to meet the increased performance.

The most cost-effective and future-proof solution is to upgrade those links with digital technology whose RF performance is independent of distance and RF Level input. This technology supports all the requirements for the increased performance both today and for the future. Visit Aurora at www.aurora.com/bgr/docsis for more information.
