NETGEAR Showcases 802.11ac Gateway

At ANGA, NETGEAR (NASDAQGM:NTGR) is showcasing several solutions for cable operators, including a DOCSIS 3.0 gateway integrated with 802.11ac wireless technology. In addition, NETGEAR is demonstrating its 24x8 channel bonded DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS gateway, designed to support up to 1.2 Gbps downstream and 320 Mbps upstream.With multiple antennae and dual band WiFi, the 802.11ac gateway is intended to increase the coverage area for HD streaming in the home while enabling consumers to download web content significantly faster than it would take on a similar 802.11n device. Other features of the 802.11ac DOCSIS 3.0 cable gateway include the NETGEAR Genie app for home network control, monitor, repair, and management; guest network access; ReadySHARE USB storage access; media server-DLNA; parental controls; IPv6 support; and PacketCable/EuroPacket Cable 1.1 and PacketCable 2.0 scalability.
