Aurora Unveils OLT Blade

At Cable-Tec Expo, Aurora Networks announced its new Trident7 Optical Line Terminal (OLT) blade. The product is designed to provide double the port density of the current platform. Aurora's Node PON technology and Trident7 platform are intended to provide an end-to-end IP networking solution, particularly for commercial services.The new Trident7 OLT blade, model T7-PIM-8802, has eight EPON ports. With up to 18 blades in a chassis, assuming a 1x32 split, more than 4,600 ONTs can be supported from a single chassis.
