Imagine Upgrades Video Platform

Imagine Communications has announced version 4.2 of its ICE Video Platform. Although the software update provides new video quality enhancements, the principle feature set of the upgrade is a set of advanced redundancy features. Version 4.2 is designed for increased service resiliency; increased flexibility and interoperability; hardware reliability and density; automatic gain control for audio; and local broadcast channel multiplexing.Version 4.2 is now in deployment at several North American service providers, including Canadian cable operator Cogeco, for IPTV, broadcast multiplexing and switched digital video (SDV) staging.
