ABOX42 is showcasing its new M12 IPTV and OTT set-top box at TV Connect in London this week. It's powered by Broadcom's BCM7231 IP STB platform and is designed to deliver Internet-based frameworks and applications to support OTT content and IPTV services. It's intended for OTT/IPTV providers, Internet companies and cable operators.The company's software platform is designed to support HTML4, HTML5 with CSS3 and CE-HTML and compatibility with HbbTV 1.1, HbbTV 1.5, OIPF and apps from the Smart TV Alliance.The media player is designed to support HTTP Progressive Download, HLS, Smooth Streaming, Bit band Streaming, DivX Plus Streaming, and IPTV multicast, as well as DRM like DRM 10, Play Ready, Secure Media, DivX and Verimatrix (under development).
