Zanaware has added two features to the Channel Lineup Pro (CLP) - automatic device detection and ReName. With the former, more than 50 device types from more than 20 vendors can be automatically discovered and added to CLP using multiple protocols and tests, based on each profile.

The latter, ReName, solves the problem of inconsistent and incorrect naming of programs across devices and on the inputs and outputs of statistical multiplexers, QAM modulators, decoders and so on. With this new capability, CLP can push program names back to many key devices.Called a "real must in today's networks" by one Diamonds judge, CLP is a scalable, chassis-based, non-intrusive solution for documenting, tracking, storing and accessing multiple lineups, channels and devices. It offers inventory capabilities, the tracking of channel hardware paths, automation of data entry and updates, and instant GUI access of other devices.www.zanaware.comSee them at Cable-Tec Expo, Booth 1388 (MHz Booth)Return to the BTR Diamond Technology Reviews Elite.
