For Cable-Tec Expo, Electroline has announced the DHT3, a new power supply status monitor transponder built on a DOCSIS 3.0 platform. It's designed to monitor all major brands of stand-by power supplies and is available as an embedded, power supply-specific version or universal sidecar model. The DOCSIS 3.0 platform monitors the power supply and can be used as a remote network test point. Spectrum analyzer functionality is accessible from a Web browser facilitating remote trouble shooting of network issues and not just the power supply. The entire HFC bandwidth can be displayed. Field service engineers can control the analyzer's attributes similar to any traditional field analyzer.
