At the 2014 CDN Asia Summit, Jan. 21-22 in Singapore, Broadpeak will showcase its CDN technologies, including its umbrellaCDN and nanoCDN.
The company's umbrellaCDN is a CDN selection product for content providers and operators, designed for the delivery of live and VOD content with high QoE. The optimal CDN for each end-user request is selected according to operator-defined, rule-based parameters, such as end-user location, end-user ISP, group of content (live/VOD, pay/free, premium/trailer), time of day and QoS.
Broadpeak's nanoCDN technology leverages home networks to resolve live OTT consumption peak issues by turning broadband gateways or STBs into active components of the content delivery infrastructure. The nanoCDN is designed to help operators manage the consumption peaks of live multiscreen services for millions of simultaneous viewers.
