Multicom will be showcasing its new SCTE-compliant coaxial products, the new Pico Digital Headend Solution, and Multicom's fiber-optic product line at Caribbean Cable & Telecommunications Association 2014 Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jan. 27-29.
Multicom's new Premium Coaxial product line is designed to meet or surpass the latest SCTE requirements. The new RG-6 M660T-BVS is SCTE 74-compliant, and the new .500 trunk cable M500-JCAM109-S is SCTE 15-compliant. The company is also in the process of launching a salt-spray-humidity-resistant product line for coastal and island networks.
The Pico Digital Headend Solution includes a dense encoder modulation system, SD encoder/QAM, CAS system, and CATV SD/HD MPEG2/4 set top boxes. It also features software upgradability, HD encoder offering simultaneous QAM and IP output, and remotely controlled access and monitoring.
The Multicom brand fiber-optic line includes 1,310 nm and 1,550 nm optical transmitters, 1,550 nm EDFAs, optical receivers, Micro-Nodes, WDM, and a variety of passives, splitters, interconnect patch panels, and fiber cable.
