Cass Cable TV has launched a switched IP video network upgrade using Adara Technologies' hosted video solution to deliver hundreds of incremental HD channels as part of a new user experience. Cass Cable serves approximately 16,000 subscribers in central Illinois.

The Adara solution is intended to allow Cass, a Motorola shop, to cap but maintain its Motorola headend and digital set-top box investment, while growing its digital subscriber footprint using Cisco set-tops that co-exist simultaneously. It incorporates Cisco's (NASDAQ:CSCO) Switched IP Video technology, hybrid RF+IP set-top boxes, and a user experience that includes new UI features and interactive web applications.
