Bright House Networks and Metro Development Group have announced plans to build all-fiber Gigabit communities in Florida. Model homes, with built-in fiber connections, are set to open this spring.

Metro Development Group is branding the new offering as ULTRAFi. With ULTRAFi, every new home in a MDG community will be pre-wired for symmetrical 1 Gbps fiber-based Internet services and will include home automation and security services. The plans also include up to 1 Gbps WiFi services outside the home in areas such as nature trails, clubhouses and playgrounds.
