At the NAB show, Net Insight launched its latest video appliance, the Nimbra VA 220, designed to combine error protected transport with MPEG encoding and decoding. It utilizes the Internet and other best-effort networks for media transport as opposed to leased lines or satellite contribution links.

The Nimbra VA 220 is intended for live fronthaul contribution for cable MSOs and also offers solutions for standalone encoding/decoding and for adapting ASI-to-IP. It's also designed for configurable latency, depending on network conditions.
