S3 Group has been selected by German cable operator Kabel Deutschland to help it scale and validate video services on various types of customer premises equipment (CPE).

Kabel Deutschland will use S3's video test automation platform, StormTest Development Center, for end-to-end service validation capabilities in both test and production environments. Specifically, it will be used for live service monitoring, channel lineup validation, A/V and caption quality assurance. The platform will interface with Kabel Deutschland's headend to validate video service configurations, and integrate with CPE to test services and simulate subscriber viewing experiences prior to deployment.
