    Metrological has deployed a cloud-based TV app store on UPC Hungary's HD mediaboxes by partnering with ActiveVideo Networks. UPC Hungary has launched a TV App store on its existing set-top boxes using the joint technology.

    Metrological's cloud-based approach is intended to enable UPC Hungary to virtualize set-top functionality, using ActiveVideo's CloudTV StreamCast platform.
