ActiveVideo has joined the RDK (Reference Design Kit) community as a licensee and to provide a cloud-based browser for delivery of HTML5-based interactive TV UX, content and applications to RDK devices.

By connecting the RDK framework to the cloud, ActiveVideo intends to complement RDK-based devices with cloud rendering of applications and services, enable consistent TV experiences across heterogeneous footprints of RDK as well as non-RDK devices; and allow application developers to evolve and normalize application experiences across RDK implementations.
